Unwinding Whiteness: A White Affinity Group
These meetings are organized by our friends at Saskatoon Insight Mediataion Community. Led by Jeanne Corrigal, this nine-month group with meetings every 3-5 weeks will provide facilitation and peer support for white people to explore and unwind racist conditioning. These affinity groups have been identified as one of the key and powerful actions that the white community can take in this journey. Each Saturday session will be 1.5-2 hours, depending on the size of the group. Our exploration will be based in a Canadian context, with support from diverse readings, and include mindfulness practices in each meeting.
There is no fee for this group, but purchase or accessibility to 3-4 books will be required. There will be an opportunity to offer dana/donation to Jeanne at the end of the program.

The group will start Saturday, September 26, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm (Saskatchewan time), online. For subsequent meetings, the smaller groups may be structured to allow in-person meetings, if appropriate.
