Happy Hearts Mindfulness Community is glad to be co-hosting the premiere of this heart-warming documentary film about the life and story of Thich Nhat Hahn. A short introduction by a member of our group will precede the screening of the movie.

All are welcome to join for some inspiration over the Easter break. There will also be screenings on Friday, March 30th @ 4:30pm as well as Sunday, April 1st @ 4:30pm

Sitting meditation

5 Day Residential Meditation Retreat with Anne Mahoney
Theme: Dukkha: Our Greatest Teacher

Retreat Dates: February 9th to 13th, 2018

Dukkha (unsatisfactoriness, stress and suffering) is a pivotal component of the Four Noble Truths and a frequently misunderstood concept in the Buddhist teachings. This retreat will give participants the opportunity to explore various aspects of their own dukkha; discover how to change their relationship with their dukkha and learn why the Buddha referred to dukkha as our greatest teacher.

Location: Mount ST-Francis Retreat Centre, Cochrane, Alberta

Weekend Non-Residential Meditation Retreat with Anne Mahoney

Compassion, the second of the four Brahma Viharas, is a heartfelt response to suffering – our own and that of others – involving both empathy and the desire for all beings to be free from suffering. Compassion allows us to meet suffering without without fear, anxiety, or worry and to hold the pain gently, with love and understanding.
