we are deeply pleased to announce our new place of practice starting in the fall of 2017. The sweet souls at Yoga Within have opened their space to us for Sunday evening sits from 4:45pm to 6:15pm.

our next opportunity to walk together will be on Sunday, July 9th at 10am.  Please come dressed comfortably and for the weather, and feel free to bring along a warm drink in your thermos.  Meet at the Alfred H. Savage Centre.  Address: 13909 Fox Drive NW.

the search for space continues
We continue to investigate the nooks and crannies of Edmonton, searching for a new-to-us practice space.  We would like to thank all of those who have offered possibilities, and hope to settle on a suitable gathering space soon.

sitting meditation
our next opportunity to sit together will be on June 24th from 10am to 11:30am at Westwood Sanctuary located at 11135 65th Ave., NW.  Please bring a mat or blanket and a few cushions or yoga blocks to sit on, as well as socks for walking. You can also use a chair for sitting. Please arrive 5-10 minutes earlier. Suggested donation for the building is $2 and dana for the teaching will be welcomed openly as well. Please remember to avoid scented body products when attending.

Alberta Deepening Practice Program – September 2017 ‚Äď July 2019
Heather Martin is offering a program of study and practice for those dharma students who are interested in deepening both their understanding of the Buddha’s teachings and their meditation practice to facilitate further insight and release on their path to awakening. As some of you may have heard, Shanti Yoga’s downtown studio, the dear home of our regular sitting practices in¬†the process of shifting to a new location. ¬†¬†We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone in the Shanti family for their willingness to provide us with an affordable, cozy, and safe space to gather over these past few years.¬†
